Submission of a training logbook for work placement
Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

Students must provide evidence of confirmation of work placement prior to enrolment in the form of a signed letter from a veterinary practice. Students who are unable to provide evidence of work placement will not be allowed to enrol into the course. Students whose work placements are made unavailable during the course must find other suitable work placement to meet the TGA qualification and unit requirements.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 21 units of competency, including 17 core and 4 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
