Submission of a training logbook for work placement
Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

Students are required to obtain and provide confirmation of at least 480 hours (approximately 8-9 hours per week) work placement in a veterinary clinic or hospital (paid or voluntary) during the course.
Students can use as evidence a signed Acceptance of Student for Work Placement document found in the Work placement guide for host employers and supervisors: https://rebrand.ly/acm4h (please copy this link into a new tab in browser).
For further information, students should also download the Work placement guide for students https://rebrand.ly/acm4s.
Students who are unable to provide evidence of work placement will not be able to enrol into the course. Students whose work placements are made unavailable during the course must find other suitable work placement to meet the qualification and unit requirements.
During work placement, 240 hours must be spent on specific activities and tasks as detailed in the units in the qualification. Students may require more work placement hours or work experience, in addition to the minimum of 480 hours, to achieve the expected competency for the qualification.
