Knowledge assessments: short answer, multiple-choice questions, matching, true or false questions
Skills assessments: demonstrations under observation
Project assessments: research tasks
Case study assessments: scenarios, assignments
Submission of a training logbook for work placement
Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.
To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:
Students must have workplacement arrangements of a minimal 480 hours in a Veterinary practice/clinic/hospital which must be complete by the end of this course, averages 2 days a week in a vet clinic.
Students must provide evidence of confirmation of workplacement prior to enrolment. An example of workplacement evidence is a signed letter from a Veterinary practice. Students who are unable to provide evidence of workplacement will not be allowed to enrol in this course.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 21 units of competency, including 17 core and 4 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.

Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.
Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
