INDUSTRY DEMAND

Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing employs approximately 326,200 persons (ABS trend data). Over the past five years, employment in the industry has increased by 1.5 per cent.

The Agriculture industry requires skilled people to contribute to developing more efficient methods of food and fibre production, as the demand to produce more with less land and water resources increases.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a part-time day face-to-face course. You will need to attend approximately 14 hours of class, over 1 - 2 days a week, for 36 weeks. There are programmed weeks where you will be required to attend Monday and Tuesday for practical learning and assessment sessions. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 11 hours of other study per week.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday during each term, from 9.00am to 4.00pm at TAFE NSW Moss Vale. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
