Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Wool Classing qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 14 units of competency, including 14 core and 0 speciality units.

Course delivery Combination study

Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.

Primary Industries Centre

TAFE NSW Primary Industries Centre (PIC) is located at North Wagga on 250 hectares of farmland and is one of the country’s finest institutions for the study of agriculture and horticulture, offering classes both face-to-face on campus, or online. Based at North Wagga and on 250 hectares of farmland, students are able to study up to an Advanced Diploma level across a diverse range of areas including animal studies/veterinary nursing, sheep and wool, conservation and land management, racing and horse studies, landscaping, parks and gardens, turf and wholesale nursery. Whether it’s our computerised glasshouse, the latest farming machinery or the newly built shearing shed, you will be given the best chance to succeed in your chosen career
