There are no information sessions currently scheduled for this course.
This is a flexible delivery part time day Block release course. You will need to attend approximately 21 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 12 blocks for 1 year. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 3 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 3 hour of additional study each week outside of class hours, including self-directed learning such as research, private study and preparation for assessments and work experience in sheds to support your skills development.

This qualification is a specialist wool classing qualification for wool classers and enables them to apply for registration with AWEX Ltd. as a professional Australian wool classer.
This qualification is suitable for an Australian traineeship.
On completion of this qualification, learners are eligible to register with The Australian Wool Exchange (AWEX) to become a registered professional Wool Classer. Employment opportunities include wool classing in the shearing shed and a wool store. Careers in the wool industry include wool classing, shed management, wool brokering, wool buying, wool testing, education and training, wool marketing, wool science/production research.

This course is currently scheduled as Block Release. 12 blocks for 1 year consisting of 3 days per block Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.00am to 4.30pm at TAFE NSW Goulburn. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
