Work placement

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

  • To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:

    Students must complete a minimum of 1 day work experience in relevant industry per week for the duration of the course OR be employed in relevant industry as a Trainee.
    Students need to attend 2 days a week in Semester 2 in order to complete. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

To complete this course, the following materials are required:

  • You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:

  • Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required, long pants, safety boots and cotton drill shirt.

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Automotive Electrical Technology qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 Units of competency, including 10 core and 6 speciality units.
