Assessments

Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt and to identify the knowledge or skills that may need further development.

  • Knowledge assessments: short answer, extended response, multiple-choice & true and false questions

  • Skills assessments: practical demonstrations under observation in a simulated workshop

Work placement

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

    • PPE which includes Safety footwear, glasses, gloves, suitable clothing such as cotton drill work wear and other equipment (e.g ear protection or respiratory masks)

  • This course is designed for people who:

  • Are existing workers in the Automotive Windscreen Repair Industry who are seeking to attain a NSW Fair Trading licence in the specialized repair class of 'Glazing Work'. This class of repair covers individuals who install, repair or remove windscreens or other glass in or from the bodies of motor vehicles in NSW.

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 13 units of competency, including 5 core and 8 speciality units.

Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.

Course delivery Studying Online

Choose when and where you study. Set your own pace, with all your study materials online, allowing you to manage your own workload. Access your learning management system 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is a highly collaborative space that involves more than simply reading and consuming.

You will interact creatively with content, teachers and your peers, improving your overall engagement with the course. Teaching staff are available to provide you with support, enabling you meet your course outcomes.

You may need to attend a vocational placement, on campus assessment and/or a teacher might need to observe and assess you in a real or simulated environment. Online courses require access to a computer with an internet connection.
