There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

However, it is assumed that learners have literacy and numeracy to a Certificate II level to be successful. Contact your TAFE NSW campus if you have any questions about your suitability.

To be enrolled in this course, you need:

  • To be able to successfully complete this course, you will need Literacy Skills of Level 3 or above. You will be contacted by the Course Manager to discuss the level of difficulty of Certificate III Business Administration. You may be advised to complete Certificate II prior to undertaking Certificate III.

To successfully complete this course, you will need:

  • To be committed to 10 to 15 hours a week of out of class work and practice.

There are no information sessions currently scheduled for this course.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a full time blended course. You will need to attend approximately 14.7 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 7.0 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 5.0 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including Private study, research, assignment preparation, reading, watching video clips, discussion groups.

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This Training and Assessment Strategy is designed for new entrant career starters who need to learn hands-on computing, administration and communications skills in order to gain employment in a business administration support role, or to go on to study business administration at higher levels. The target group of students have chosen to complete this qualification through self-paced study and will complete this via a blended approach of face to face classes and support through the TAFE campus. The cohort of learners who undertake this course will be represented by a wide variety of ethnic groups and a broad age range. Most students will have an intermediate level of literacy and the capacity to work independently. This TAS is aimed at individuals with intermediate digital literacy.

This course is currently scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.00am to 3.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
