BE PREPARED

To be prepared for this course, it is recommended that you have:

  • Basic experience with computer software programs, like Microsoft Word
  • Typing skills

    If you need support in preparation for study, contact us to learn more about the options available. You may also consider the BSB20115 - Certificate II in Business which will give you the skills you need to complete the Certificate III.

    There are no entry requirements for this course, however, a Certificate II in Business Qualification or equivalent skills and knowledge is recommended. The flexible learning environment is best suited to those existing workers already working in this field.

    Depending upon each student's existing skillset and experience a further 8.5 hours per week of additional directed and self-directed study off campus may be required.

Face to face attendance for 6 hours per week for 36 weeks and 4.42 hours of prescribed self-paced activities.

This course will be delivered on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm starting Tuesday, 23/07/2019.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

A range of criteria apply for course fees and to access government subsidised training.

Remember, TAFE NSW provides a range of easy and flexible payment options for students or a nominated third party (If a nominated third party is covering the cost of your fees, a letter of authority or purchase order will be required).

When your enrolment is complete, and you have paid the applicable fees, you will be entitled to attend class, participate in training, sit for examinations, receive educational awards, use amenities and services and receive an active TAFEcard (which provides access to library resources).

In addition to your course fee, there may be some additional charges to cover the costs of undertaking this training.

Costs associated with work experience and field trips such as food, transport and accommodation are at the students own expense.

Students will need to provide their own general stationery, (ie, pen, pencil, eraser, highlighters and stapler), including an A4 ring binder/dividers and plastic sleeves for handouts. A USB storage device or access to a cloud storage account will also be required for document storage.
