BE PREPARED
To be prepared for this course, it is recommended that you have:
- Basic experience with computer software programs, like Microsoft Word
- Typing skills
If you need support in preparation for study, contact us to learn more about the options available. You may also consider the BSB20115 - Certificate II in Business which will give you the skills you need to complete the Certificate III.There are no pre-requisites for this course, however, students will be required to use the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and will need to have previous computer experience. It is beneficial for students to have access to a computer at home to allow for practice and completion of at home activities and completion of assessment work. Students will also have access to TAFE campus library resources to complete any work.
To successfully complete this course, you will need: - Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills as defined in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). If you haven?t studied at this level or above before, you may be required to undertake an assessment of your LLN skills so that we can better understand your academic capabilities and identify areas where you may need support. If you do not meet these requirements a Teacher will discuss alternative options or support services available to help you achieve your study goals.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a flexible blended course. You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class, over 1 day a week, for 1 year. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 10.1 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 2.1 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including Private study, research and assignment preparation.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This course offering is designed for people who:
- Young and mature age learners.
- Existing workers who want to develop their skills and knowledge in business administration in a broad range of contexts or move into other courses in business administration field.
- Currently unemployed people (with previous work experience) or with transferrable skills, or those who are wanting to return to the workforce following an extended absence, or are transitioning to a new career.
- Some students have already completed Certificate II level qualifications or have existing skills and knowledge at that level and are now looking to increase their skills and qualifications.
Participants choose this delivery pattern to enable them to choose a flexible study pattern that complements their other work, study, parenting or caring commitments.
These prospective students have an interest or some experience in this type of work and are seeking to increase their skills and knowledge so they can seek employment or further training in the Business Administration field. Some applicants are seeking to develop skills and knowledge to seek study and/or employment in non-related fields but value the skills this course gives them as underpinning skills for any workplace.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
