STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a part time flexible course. You will need to attend approximately 9.9 hours of class, over 3 nights a week, for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 4.8 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 3.4 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours including keyboarding practice and specific task reinforcement (mail merge, absolute referencing, PowerPoint features, etc.).
You will need to attend face to face medical classes on a Wednesday, for 6 months only. You can complete the remaining units flexibly in evening classes which are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

This course offering is designed for people who:
- are career starters who need to learn hands-on medical administration, computing and customer service/communication skills, in order to gain employment in a medical administration support role, or would like to go on to study either business administration or medical practice management at higher levels
- have some basic administration, communication and computing skills, gained either as a result of life experience in an increasingly technology-savvy world and need to be able to interact using these technologies as part of day-to-day life
- have completed Certificate II in Business

This course is currently scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, and Wednesday from 9.00am to 4.30pm. You can also attend day classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.00am to 3.30pm.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
