To successfully complete this course, you will need:

  • Literacy Skills of Level 3 or above. You will be contacted by the Course Manager to discuss the level of difficulty of Certificate III Business Administration. You may be advised to complete Certificate II prior to undertaking Certificate III.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a full time, face to face delivery course. You will need to attend approximately 20 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 10 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 7 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, research, assignment preparation, reading, watching video clips, and discussion groups.

This course offering is designed for people who:

  • are new entrant career starters who need to learn hands-on computing, medical administration and communications skills in order to gain employment in a medical business administration support role, or to go on to study business administration or health administration at higher levels.



    The cohort of learners who undertake this course will be represented by a wide variety of ethnic groups and a broad age range. Most students will have an intermediate level of literacy and the capacity to work independently. This TAS is aimed at individuals with intermediate digital literacy.

This course is currently scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.00am to 3.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
