There are no entry requirements for this course, however: - A Certificate II in Business Qualification or equivalent skills and knowledge is recommended. - If you are not working in the medical field and/or have no previous experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, it is recommended that you complete the Certificate III in Business Administration Qualification before attempting this qualification. - The flexible learning environment is best suited to those existing workers already working in this field.
To successfully complete this course, you will need: - Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills as defined in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). - If you haven't studied at this level or above before, you may be required to undertake an assessment of your LLN skills so that we can better understand your academic capabilities and identify areas where you may need support. - If you do not meet these requirements a Teacher will discuss alternative options or support services available to help you achieve your study goals.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a flexible, blended course. You will need to attend approximately 8 hours of class, over 2 days a week, for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 6.6 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 3.4 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including, (private study, review of class work, research and assessment preparation).

This course is currently scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday from 4.30pm to 8.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
You will need to provide the following resources which is retained on completion of study:
- Your own general stationery, (ie, pen, pencil, eraser, highlighters and stapler), including an A4 ring binder/dividers and plastic sleeves for handouts.
