Course Details

This qualification is suitable for individuals working in a range of human resources management positions. Job roles could include human resources assistants, human resources coordinators, human resources administrators and payroll officers.

Workplace responsibilities would be determined at a workplace level. Some smaller business may require employees to work across all aspects of human resources. In larger companies, individuals may just have responsibility for a singular aspect of human resources such as remuneration.

To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you have:

  • Experience in the industry at least to Certificate III level including human resource activities with teams, writing workplace documents and using Microsoft software packages.

You will be assessed on your existing skills and knowledge during the scheduled Information Session or during your first class.
All students are required to complete LLN assessment by completing the RU Ready testing. This testing is completed within the first four weeks of class and a comprehensive report of student skills is given to the teacher.
Where the individiual learning and support needs cannot be reasonably met in the classroom alone as determined by a one-to-one interviews between the teacher and student, Disability and Learning Support Services are engaged to ensure the student?s learning needs are met.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a part time evening course. You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class, over 2 days a week, for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 6.1 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 3.9 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including self-paced study; research activities and assignment preparation.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
