Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.

They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

When your enrolment is complete, and you have paid the applicable fees, you will be entitled to attend class, participate in training, sit for examinations, receive educational awards, use amenities and services and receive an active TAFEcard (which provides access to library resources).

In addition to your course fee, there may be some additional charges to cover the costs of undertaking this training.

Costs associated with work experience and field trips such as food, transport and accommodation are at the students own expense.

This course is delivered face-to-face from the Maitland Campus, or the student can stream the class via Adobe Connect, Skype or other platform. The classes are also recorded for future reference.

Students in outlying locations will be given instructions on how to access the class.

Students also need to plan for approximately 10 hours per week for additional study activities, research and completion of assessment tasks.


A message for young people under 17 years of age - If you are under 17 years and wish to enrol you will need to have completed Year 10 or have special permission from school and TAFE NSW to do so.
This course is currently scheduled on Wednesday, 5.30pm to 9.30pm via Adobe Connect with face to face classes at Maitland campus. Tutorial sessions are available on Tuesday nights from 5.30pm to 7.30pm from week 2.
