This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.
They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

Location: Meadowbank Campus, Building J, Level 2, Room 24.
This is a full time, on campus course. You will need to attend approximately 19 hours of class, over 5 days a week, for 17 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 14.2 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 2 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including independent study, research, practice and assignments.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Have completed year 12 (HSC) or equivalent, or with 1-2 years experience working as part of a team in a business environment. It is important that you have access to a computer with reliable internet connection and have the skills to be able to use basic features of the Microsoft office suite such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In addition you should have effective communication skills to express your ideas both in writing and verbally as well as an ability to set and achieve work goals.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Tuesday and Thursday from 9.00am to 12.00pm.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
