This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to provide support in a range of legal service settings. They apply solutions to a range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
This is a part time, face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 9 hours of class, over 2 days a week, for 36 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 9 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including independent study, research, practice and assignments.

This course offering is designed for people who:
- have current computing, internet and word processing (using Microsoft Word) skill and knowledge at Certificate III level.
- Certificate IV in Legal Services builds on your existing skills and knowledge.

This course is currently scheduled on Wednesday from 9:30am to 1:00pm and Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
