Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of roles within the human resources sector who have a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resources management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. Typically they would have responsibility for the work of other staff.

In this blended learning course you will undertake your learning and assessment through a combination of online and workshop mode activities. - Workshops - Online - Web conferencing - Video conferencing - Phone support - Tutorial

Course content is delivered on TAFE Western?s online learning website. You will also have the opportunity to attend workshops if they are delivered in your area.
Your teacher will provide study support online, over the phone or via email.
If students cannot attend all or some of the workshops, they have the option to do their course flexibly- where they can access their resources online or through correspondence. Students can access learner guides and other resources without attending classes. You will have the assistance either of a teacher to support you over the phone, face-to-face or via email or SKYPE.

This course is offered in a flexible mode, meaning that students have multiple options regarding how they choose to complete their study.
Options are:
1. Students can either attend 8 x 1 day, workshops over a 12-month period
2. Students can complete the course fully through correspondence
3. They can complete the course through a combination of workshops and correspondence study.

There are 4 intakes into this course per year. Students can enrol at any intake point and will commence with the units being offered at that time.

Your facilitators are highly qualified with extensive workplace experience. They aim to help you understand the theory and apply it to the workplace using practical examples and hands-on tasks with regular feedback and guidance along the way.

There are 4 intakes per year. Students can enrol at any intake point and will commence with the units being offered at that time.


This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan (VSL). If you meet the VSL eligibility and academic suitability requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.

A VET student loan may be available to eligible students to cover some or all of their course fees. More information will be made available closer to your enrolment.

To secure a loan for part or all of your course, you must be eligible and submit a valid application to the Commonwealth for a VET Student Loan. You may withdraw prior to the census date without incurring a fee.
