Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.

A VET student loan may be available to eligible students to cover some or all of their course fees. More information will be made available closer to your enrolment.

This course is designed for individuals who hold the necessary skills, or seek to further develop their skills to lead a project from start to completion. You will be trained in the management of all aspects of a project such as budget and timeline, costs, communication and quality control. Individuals may possess substantial experience in this area or have sound theoretical business skills and knowledge.
It is an ideal course for you if you would like to have your existing skills recognised or upgraded if you already work in a project or management role.

Once learners have successfully completed this course they will receive a nationally recognised qualification in BSB51415 - Diploma in Project Management. Units of competence in this qualification will give them the skills for:

- Applying project management competencies with the workplace
- Conception of integration within an organisational environment-
- Achieving business benefits
- Techniques and strategies to get problem projects back on track

Learners may enrol into this course anytime and may complete this course through external study over 36 weeks. Once payment is received or VET Student Loan arranged, the facilitator will instruct learners on accessing our online sites and give them the tools to help complete this course successfully.

If you would like to gain study experience overseas then students enrolled in this course may have the opportunity to go on a 2-week study program through the TAFE Western Outbound Mobility Program.
