Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

It is assumed that you have literacy, numeracy and technical skills at Certificate IV level for success in this course. Contact your TAFE NSW campus if you have any questions about your suitability.
Connected Classroom is just like a regular classroom, but teachers and students use the latest video conferencing technologies. Your teacher can be in one TAFE location, and you can join the class from another TAFE location using video conferencing equipment or a mobile device. You can also join in from a venue in a participating regional community. You will be able to see and talk to your teacher and other students as though they were in the room with you. You will also have access to support to meet your learning needs.

Students are expected to have at least two years experience in a relevant work role. This experience provides existing skills, knowledge and understanding of the workplace that would not be available to students who are new entrants to the workforce. Further real work experiences provide opportunity to reflect on and support problem solving and adult learning principles.

Students will also be required to complete a project relative to their own work. This project will be the basis of assessment. Facilitation and coaching will be available to support students in applying theory learned to the initiation, execution, monitoring and review of their project implementation over 12 months.
Attendance is Tuesday 5.00pm to 7.30pm in room AG.10 by Connected Classroom at TAFE NSW Griffith.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.
