To be prepared for this course, if is recommended that you be:
- Experienced and familiar with the world of work

- Comfortable working with others and reporting to a manager or supervisor
- A strong communicator with good presenter skills
- Confident with technology and able to access and navigate the internet and use word processing and presentation software
- Advanced in language and literacy skills, ideally you will have completed Australian Year 12 or its overseas equivalent

This is an advanced course designed for students with existing leadership and management experience. It follows on the from the certificate IV in leadership and mangement and assumes students have all of the skills and knowledge taught in the Cert IV before commencing the diploma. Units are delivered in an accelerated mode placing the responsibility on students to be up to date with class work and assessments. In addition to face to face work shops you will need to spend 10-15 hours on structured Moodle activities, unstructured learning and assessments. Should you have any questions or queries concerning your suitablity to undertake this course please contact the head teacher. Please note this course is not suitable for recent school leavers or those with limited work experience.INFORMATION SESSION

Please be aware that this is an intensive course and it is anticipated that students will have to do at least 10 hours additional study and assessment activities per week in their own time.

As a TAFE NSW student in this course, you will have access to:

You will need to attend approximately 3 hours of class a week over 2 Semesters (36 weeks). An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Monday 6.00pm to 9.00pm. There will be an occassional additional class held on Thursday.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
