This is a full time Blended course. You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 31 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 9 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 4 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including Unstructured self-directed learning may include assessment preparation, online activities, skills practice, research and revision activities.
Face to face classes will begin on Monday 10th February at 9.30am. Delivery and assessment period will conclude on 25th September 2020. Classes are held Monday to Wednesday 9.30am - 3:30pm. Students enrolled in this mode of study will attend Northern Beaches Campus 2 days per week (Monday and Wednesday) and attend St Leonards Campus on a Tuesday 9:00 - 3:30 Students will have the opportunity for potential employment on the other 2 days per week. TAFE NSW will give students the opportunity to develop skills in writing job applications and prearing for interviews. Students may have the oportunity to meet with potential employers and apply for paid employment. TAFE NSW cannot guarentee employment and is not responsible for the recruitment or HR proceses of the potential employers, however will provide the opportunity to access potential employers.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
The full time Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is tailored to meet the needs of domestic students who typically have little to no previous experience in the early childhood sector. Students may have some experience working with children, for example through babysitting, however this experience may not be in the context of an Australian regulated education and care service. Students who enrol in the full-time blended CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care are usually seeking employment in education and care services or using the qualification as a pathway to further study.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Students must complete 3-5 weeks of professional experience in a licensed education and care service.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
