Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt and to identify the knowledge or skills that may need further development.
Knowledge tasks: online quizzes, short answer questions, case studies, written tasks and research projects, matching and true or false activities
Practical tasks before starting work placement: interviews, role-plays, creative projects, presentations and practical demonstrations
Workplace assessment tasks: written tasks, reflective journals, verbal or written questioning, planning and implementing activities, practical demonstrations

This course offering is designed for people who:
It would be best suited to a student who is able to commit to 2-3 days per week on campus and/or virtual classroom study and is generally delivered during school hours. This delivery can easily be coupled with work in the education and care sector, or other employment or commitments. There is ample space in this timetable for additional time to grasp concepts and consolidate skills and knowledge. If this does not sound like you, we have other delivery options that may better suit you. Students will require regular access to, and have the ability to use a computer and internet. This could either be your personal device or can be accessed at your local campus.
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 17 Units of competency, including 15 core and 2 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.
Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
TAFE NSW Boggabilla is just a short two minute walk from the centre of town, located adjacent to the Boggabilla Central School. Offering a range of study options, with a fully equipped computer lab, engineering workshop and fashion room TAFE NSW Bogabilla also provides video conferencing capabilities, enabling students to connect to an increased range of courses, to become qualified for a wide range of future employment options.
