There has been demand for teacher aides since 2011 with significant continued job growth expected through to 2023. An anticipated 85,000 jobs will open over the next 5 years. Also in high-demand are teaching assistants in mainstream schools to support students with disability and learning difficulties.

This is a distance, blended course. You will need to attend one Saturday or one week day to complete HLTAIDOO3 Provide First Aid. You have the option to attend campus based classes at CHEC on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9.00am to 3.30pm to support your learning. You will be provided access to a campus based timetable to support your ability to attend classes at CHEC. You can book into these classes via your distance teacher as needed.
You may also be required to complete approximately 2.7 hours of additional study each week, including private study assessment preparation, research and readings.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
