Knowledge tasks: online quizzes, multiple choice questions, matching and true or false activities

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.
To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:
A minimum of 100 hours of work placement in a classroom environment catering to primary or secondary school students, within at least one school in Australia. The work placement will be arranged by students in partnership with the school and implemented within the student’s program to enable consolidation, reflection, improvement and assessment to occur. A student may already have access to a primary or secondary school through paid or voluntary employment. This can be assessed by TAFE NSW for suitability for the student to complete their placement. A valid Working with Children Check will be required by the School. The School and/or some locations may also have additional requirements such as vaccination and Police Checks. Students will be notified of specific requirements prior to placement. Please note: There are currently COVID 19 vaccination requirements for volunteers and employees in the Education Sector. Details can be found https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19. Work placement is an opportunity to learn on the job and complete assessment requirements and often leads to employment opportunities.
