To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:

• a minimum of 100 hours of work placement in a classroom environment catering to primary or secondary school students within at least one school in Australia.

The work placement will be organised by individual students with endorsement from TAFE NSW via a letter of introduction from the teaching section to verify your enrolment in the Education Support qualification for the school that you are requesting work placement experience. Work placement is an opportunity to learn on the job and complete assessment requirements and often leads to employment opportunities.

You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:

• a computer and internet. This could either be your personal device or can be accessed at your local campus.

This course offering is designed for people who:

• have previously completed the CHC30213 Certificate III in Education Support.

To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to provide evidence that you have:

• a valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC) for students over the age of 18 years.

• a National Police Check.

• current immunisation records.

Students will be notified of specific requirements prior to placement. The Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Education and Care Workers) Order 2021 states that anyone working on a NSW school site - government and non-government schools, including students on student placement, must be fully vaccinated. The vaccination requirement is for workers or students to have received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or be issued with a medical contraindication certificate by 8 November 2021 to be able to undertake relevant work. If you are not vaccinated we cannot assure you that this component of your course can be organized or fulfilled, which will impact your ability to successfully course complete.
