The demand for personal care workers is growing.
Aged and disabled care jobs are projected to increase by 69,200 places, while nursing support and personal care worker jobs are projected to increase by over 11,400 over the five years to 2023.
It is expected that this sector will be launched into rapid change and growth based on the findings and recommendations of the recent Royal Commission into Aged Care.

This is a blended flexible course. You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class, over 1 day a week, for 1 year. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 9.8 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 4.5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including assessment preparation, revision, study, readings and reflection.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This course offering is designed for people who are working in aged care services, have previous experience and previous qualifications that are wanting to gain or upgrade their qualifications to a CHC43015, can be existing workers or trainees.
Students must be working in the hospital/health service Pharmacy to gain entry into the course.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
