  • To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:

Students will be required to successfully undertake 80 work placement hours during terms 2-4. Work placement is organised by the Work Placement Coordinator, in consultation with the Course Teacher and Head Teacher. Students must therefore be either:

    • Employed in a relevant position in the relevant field of industry
    • Undertake a work placement – teachers can determine who, how, when and where within either their own networks or support the student to gain a placement themselves at the local level

    Eligibility for work placement:
Before commencement of professional experience, students will require:

    • A completed National Police Check
    • A valid Working with Children Check for work within NSW. The WWCC can be for volunteers (if the student is undertaking an unpaid work placement or volunteer work) otherwise they will need to have a valid WWCC for those undertaking paid work.

Organisations that agree to offer work placements for students must also be provided with the student’s WWCC and reminded of their obligation to check the validity of the provided WWCC.
