Work placement

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

  • During your course you will undertake a mandatory 120 hours of work placement with a suitable industry employer.

  • Depending on your mode of study, TAFE NSW will arrange your work placement for you or support you to find one.

  • To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:

    • 120hrs work placement in an Aged Care or Disability Setting throughout the duration of the course.
    • You will require a clear National Criminal record Check and appropriate immunisations

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Leisure and Health qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 17 units of competency, including 10 core and 7 speciality units.
