Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
A WWCC is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW. You can apply online for your WWCC. There is no fee for you as a student. To apply, go to https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check or search for WWCC NSW.
Police Check
A Police check is required for placements that you will do as a part of your course. We understand that many students who are considering community services courses may have criminal convictions in their past. We encourage you to apply for your check in any case and if the outcome is of a concern for you, please discuss with teaching and or student support staff. Simply because a person may have a conviction on their record does not mean they are automatically excluded from placements or future work opportunities.
The police checks can be applied for online. Identity documents are required and each website will have information as to which documents are required and how to upload them.
