Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply in some States where cadastral and mining surveying must be undertaken under the supervision of a registered surveyor. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements.
This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

This course is delivered in accordance with the Training package requirements for CPP07 training Package.
Students undertaking this qualification must be working in industry and completed a Certificate IV in Surveying. A pre-enrolment assessment by a surveying teacher is mandatory.
In some cases learners have enough industry experience to apply for Recognised Current Competency (RCC). In most cases camp attendance at National Environment Centre is required.
The Learning Management System (Moodle) will have a suggested study schedule for both part-time and full-time learners.
Once students have completed this course they may wish to go on to further study including:
TAFE NSW has a pathway into University of Southern Queensland (USQ)?s Surveying and Spatial Sciences degree.
