Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply in some States where cadastral and mining surveying must be undertaken under the supervision of a registered surveyor. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements.
This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.
Further costs in addition to your student fees may be applicable for this qualification. These costs are to provide you with additional resources and/or Incidentals to support your learning. Attendance at two camps is compulsory, one of which will be run in the early stages of the course and the other in the latter stages. Exact dates will be confirmed by the coordinator (subject to change).
Once the enrolment has been completed the coordinator will be in contact to confirm the participation requirements of the course.

As part of your application for a place in this course, you will need to provide copies of your previous qualifications if the courses were completed at another Training Organisation.
This offering is for those that have completed both the Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information Services and also the Certificate IV in Surveying. Preference is given to those that have studied the previous qualifications at TAFE Illawarra Wollongong Campus.
