The nationally accredited Certificate III in Design Fundamentals prepares you to start a career in the creative industries. Specialise in your creative passion, get your foot in the door of the design industry, and develop the foundational skills to bring your artistic vision to life.

INFORMATION SESSIONS

We ask all students to attend the information session prior to the first day of the course, where you will have a short interview with a course teacher who will be able to answer any questions you have about the course, and confirm that this is the right course for you.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a full time course. You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 17 weeks

Students will also be required to do some self-paced study, research and practice at home or on campus. Unstructured learning is essential for students to continue to develop a broad understanding of design concepts and application of design skills throughout the course and achieve competency.

This course is currently scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.00am to 3.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
