National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sets and staging for some performances or events may fall within the definition of construction work. If so, people entering the construction site are required to complete the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (Australian Safety Compensation Council, May 2007). Achievement of the unit 'CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry' from the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package fulfils this requirement.
Please make an online enquiry or contact us on 131 601 for more information about the course.

Artists may be front and centre, but without the hard work of managers, agents, publicists and the rest of the music business team, few artists would be at the top of the playlists. The Certificate 3 Music Business program will prepare you to enter the music industry equipped with a solid foundation of business knowledge and with plenty of hands-on experience for those interested in music events and gigs and want to pursue a career as an agent, promoter or manager. Students will learn the fundamentals of the music industry and how it works, planning gigs, promoting music and booking artists.

Our instructors are highly qualified, experienced and passionate about teaching. The training relies on real workplace projects including live events where you can create work and make contacts within a vast student body as well as establish direct links with musicians and industry professionals.

12 -15 hours of unstructured work per week is also required, consisting of: assessments, industry visits and creative practice.

A message for young people under 17 years of age - If you are under 17 years and wish to enrol you will need to have completed Year 10 or have special permission from school and TAFE NSW to do so.
16 hours of class-activities are currently scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.30am to 5.30pm. Group projects, assessments and portfolio work between 25-30 hours and self-paced learning (rehearsals, gigs and events) for 15 hours.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

A range of criteria apply for course fees and to access government subsidised training.

Remember, TAFE NSW provides a range of easy and flexible payment options for students or a nominated third party (If a nominated third party is covering the cost of your fees, a letter of authority or purchase order will be required).
