This is an Online course. You will need to attend approximately 2.4 hours of class for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 6 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 6 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, research, skills practice, voluntary work in related areas, networking and other related entertainment industry activities.
This course is delivered online. Students will work through the course materials for each course unit with direction and assistance from the course facilitators. Students must be able to access the internet regularly during each course week. The course averages 11 hours per week. The timetable indicates class sessions that support this course.
Please note: This course is delivered using MS Teams and not through the TAFE Digital learning platform.

The Certificate III in Music Industry (Music Business) covers a broad range of the skills required to succeed in the music industry. These include copyright and royalties, gig booking, artist management and promotion, the structure and roles in the music industry, genre studies and music industry career planning. Successful students will have a keen interest, or some experience, in basic management, are self-directed and be able to read, write and have good numerical skills.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study.
This course includes all resources needed to complete the course however students must supply note taking materials (notebook & pen/pencils) and personal data storage devices such as USB or portable hard drives.
Most students use a portable computing device during their studies and whilst this may be advantageous it is not a requirement to complete the course assessments. Students will be required to access the internet regularly.
