STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a Full time face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 17 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 14 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 5.5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including self-paced study, research and practice at home or on campus.

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This course is designed for students who have a basic knowledge of design such as having completed Design and Technology and/or Visual Arts at High School, a Certificate III level course in a related field, or for those who have a passion for design and some practical creative skills and knowledge.

This course is currently scheduled on Tuesday from 9 am to 4 pm, and Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5.30 pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Additonal resources will be required to successfully complete this course and will cost approximately $190.00 for materials/consumables, subsidising field trips and visits, safety equipment and/or toolkits and general resources.
