    To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you are:
    Although there is not a national pre-requisite for this course, this course is designed for advanced entry and it is recommended that people entering this qualification possess CUA30715 Certificate III in Design Fundamentals (with a focus on Jewellery) or have extensive vocational experience in Jewellery Design or Manufacture.?


    To successfully complete this course, you will need:
    prioritise time for design research and development and use time management skills to meet project deadlines. Projects will include the use of specialist design software, and require a working knowledge of the safe use of specialised Jewellery workshop equipment, tools and materials

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a Full Time Face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 17 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 14 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 5.5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation and research

This course is designed for advanced entry and it is recommended that people entering this qualification possess CUA30715 Certificate III in Design Fundamentals (with a focus on Jewellery) or have extensive vocational experience in Jewellery Design or Manufacture.?

This course is currently scheduled on Monday from 8:30am to 5:30pm Tuesday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and Wednesday from 10:00am to 3:00pm.This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

In addition to your course fee, there will be additional ongoing material costs for metal, gems and tools. Depending on the type of materials, this could be from $50.00 to $100.00. Students are expected to have their own basic tools for this course.
