The nationally recognised Certificate IV in Music Industry (Sound Production) equips you with the skills to record artists, work on post-production projects, explore sound design, edit audio and collaborate with filmmakers and podcast creators in industry-standard spaces.

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
- Experience using a PC or Mac computer
- Some experience using computer-based recording software such as Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, Cubase or similar and/or some experience in live sound
- Completed the Certificate III in Music Industry or have equivalent skills and knowledge in sound recording

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a Full Time Combind course. You must attend approximately 11 hours of class. You may also be required to complete approximately 8 hours of additional study. This additional study could include private study, work placements and research.
The course will run 3 days a week fo 1 year.

This is a ONE YEAR course.
Students will be transition into the new course in mid 2022.
Students will continue to attend classes to course complete this qualification until 6 Dec 2022.

If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, there may be a modification or delay in the planned timeframe due to COVID-19 impacts. This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday with day classes . Attendance timetable is indicative and cannot be confirmed until just prior to delivery.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
