Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of technical skills in photo imaging, including lighting, image capture, enhancements and manipulation and output.

Practice at this level is predominately digital. It is underpinned by the application of integrated technical, theoretical and historical knowledge of photo imaging and the ability to develop concepts and solutions in response to a brief.

Practitioners may work in a range of industry contexts, including retail, commercial, domestic portrait, media, wedding, illustrative, institutional and art photography.

STUDY HOURS
Please be aware that in addition to attending face-to-face classes, students will be required to undertake at least 20 hours per week of learning outside the classroom to complete assessment tasks.
This may include online research, visiting galleries, writing reports and journals, attending exhibitions as well as photographing images for your assessments. Actual hours depend on factors such as prior experience.

You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class over 4 days a week for 19 weeks.There will up to 18 hours a week of directed learning when not on campus.
