We will be running a free short course in Film Production that runs for 5 days on June 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. Look for Statement of Attainment in Short Film Production on tafensw.edu.au.
This is a Part-Time Evening, Face to Face course. You will be required to attend 2-3 nights per week as well as some Saturdays throughout Semester 2. Your timetable will be issued two weeks prior to course commencement, and attendance pattern may change between Term 1 and Term 2. Please note attendance days and times are indicitave only and may vary depending which group you are allocated to. Please also note that some classes may be run online via MS Teams with live teacher and classmates, as well as the TAFE NSW Moodle online learning platform. You may also be required to complete approximately 3 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including independent study, research, practice and assignments.

Do you want to work in the Film and TV industry? This is your chance to gain skills, knowledge and experience at script writing shooting, lighting, shooting, camera work, production, editing, working on a team, as well as the business side of the Film and TV. Upon successful completion, you can progress to Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media focused on Film and TV.

The way you learn may change during your enrolment to ensure the best learning experience or to keep you safe as COVID-19 restrictions change, and some of our face to face classes may change to online or virtual classroom learning. Also, to ensure that we keep you safe while studying, we may modify our face to face classes to meet physical distancing requirements and increased cleaning on campus. If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, there may be a modification or delay in the planned timeframe due to COVID-19 impacts. Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

You are required to purchase a portable USB hard drive for storage of your files. Details of this will be provided by your class teacher. You will also be required to wear covered shoes when working in the studios.
