  • You will learn a range of tools and techniques to turn ideas into digital assets that can be used as advertisements, web videos, social media content, and interactive educational content such as graphics and animations for people to engage with. It's perfect for a small business person who wants to be able to quickly create interesting content to grow their customer base or audience. It is also perfect for people who want to experience a broad range of digital media before pursuing further study in a specialisation. This course will have 4 sessions on campus throughout the semester to meet and collaborate on specific units of study. Students who are participating from a distance will have the opportunity to participate via video.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Screen and Media (Animation and Visual Effects) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 13 units of competency, including 4 core and 9 speciality units.

Course delivery Combination study

Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
