To be enrolled in this course, you need to:
- be screened for basic Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills, to enable teachers to facilitate additional support where required, or suggest a more appropriate course if the need arises
- have previous computer experience
- have access to a computer at home, to allow for practice, and completion of at home activities and assessment work. If you don't have access to a computer at home, you will have access to TAFE libraries, to complete any work
To successfully complete this course, you will need:
- to complete your course work, as per your timetable schedule
- to participate regularly and consistently
TAFE NSW will make every reasonable effort to ensure that it can accommodate your Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) needs. Support is based on review of your LLN skills, prior to, or within, the first two weeks of commencement of study. This is achieved through written tasks, or accessing diagnostic tools, such as RUReady, and can include a one-on-one interview. Ongoing indentification of LLN support needs, will occur through monitoring formative class activities, and if deemed applicable, a meeting will be arranged to discuss the LLN assistance TAFE NSW can provide you, with a view of creating an indivdual training and learning plan, that best addresses your LLN needs.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a full time day course. You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 10.9 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 5.4 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, research, and assessment preparation.

This course offering is designed for people who:
- have an interest and aptitude in working with numbers
- have basic computer skills
- are either currently unemployed, want to return to the workforce following an extended absence, or are transitioning to a new career, and have transferrable skills
- may have already completed Certificate II level qualifications, or have equivalent skills and knowledge, and are looking to increase their skills and qualifications
- are existing workers, who want to develop their skills and knowledge in business administration and accounting roles, in a wide range of business fields, or move into other courses in business administration or accounting
- have an interest, or some experience, in this type of work, and are seeking to increase their skills and knowledge so they can seek employment or further training in this vocation

To keep you safe while studying, some of our face to face classes may be replaced with online or connected learning. We have also modified our face to face classes to meet physical distancing requirements and increased cleaning on campus. As restrictions ease, the way you attend your class may change again. If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, due to the impacts of COVID-19 there may be a delay or modification in being able to undertake these aspects of your course in the planned timeframe. This course is currently scheduled for 3 days a week. An individual training plan will be provided when you enrol in this course. Your plan will outline the recommended study timetable and detail your units and assessments.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
