This is an online course. You will need to complete approximately 9 hours of online study, each week, for your enrolment duration of 18 months.
You can increase the hours of online study per week to complete the course sooner.
You can also expect to complete approximately 9 hours of additional study each week outside of online study hours, including private study, assignment preparation, work experience and research.

This course delivery is designed for people who:
- are new to or seeking employment in or
- are already existing workers in the accounting and bookkeeping industry,
- BAS Service Providers and
- contract bookkeepers and
- accounts clerks seeking to pursue a career in accounting and bookeeping or a pathway to further professional accounting qualifications.
It includes not only preparing and lodging business and instalment activity statements, it involves dealing with and providing information to the Commissioner in relation to the services provided by a registered BAS Service provider.
The course applies applied theoretical accounting and specialist BAS/GST knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine accounting and bookkeeping, BAS and GST activities and the application of accounting BAS and GST concepts and principles to differing client requirements.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

This training is subsidised by the NSW government under Smart and Skilled. The student fee you will need to pay, will be determined according to your personal circumstances and eligibility for a subsidised place, you may also be eligible for a concession fee, fee exemption or fee free scholarship. Payment by instalments is available.
