This qualification reflects the job roles of individuals working in finance broking (including mortgage broking). They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide guidance to others and have limited responsibility for the output of others.
Work functions in the occupational areas where this unit may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. Refer to the FNS Implementation Guide Companion Volume or the relevant regulator for specific guidance on requirements.

This is a flexible, blended delivery course. To assist students with their studies, weekly workshops run every Tuesday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm (via connected delivery), and Thursday day from 9:30am to 4:00pm (connected delivery or face to face). Weekly sessions are not compulsory however they provide extra content and assessment support for students.
As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 15 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 1 hour of additional study each week outside of class hours, including undertaking indstry research.

SERVICES AND STUDY SUPPORT
There are additional learning and study tools available for this course, including:
- A weekly session runs every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm (via connected delivery) and every Thursday from 9.30am to 2.30pm (connected/face to face) by one of our experienced teachers with mortgage broking experience. The focus of the sessions is to provide you with assessment support and an opportunity to ask any questions. Attendance is optional, you can attend all sessions or any session you feel you may benefit from.
- Tutorial time is provided after each session on Tuesday (9:00pm to 9.30pm) and Thursday (2:30pm to 4:00pm) where you will have the opportunity to ask questions one on one with a teacher.

To keep you safe while studying, some of our face to face classes may be replaced with online or connected learning. We have also modified our face to face classes to meet physical distancing requirements and increased cleaning on campus. As restrictions ease, the way you attend your class may change again. If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, due to the impacts of COVID 19 there may be a delay or modification in being able to undertake these aspects of your course in the planned timeframe. Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
Workshops run every Thursday to assist students with studies from 9:30am-4:00pm. Connected delivery is also available every Tuesday 6:00pm-9:00pm via Microsoft Teams.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

An initial payment of $80 is required to confirm your enrolment into this course. If you do not wish to continue with your enrolment, you must formally advise Customer Service of your withdrawal.
