The Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning (Professional Practice) is a short course for people currently practising as financial planners who hold a degree or higher qualification in a finance field. The course meets the FASEA educational requirements for financial advisers in accordance with the requirements of the Corporations Amendment (Professional Standards of Advisers) Act 2017. The course also addresses the Code of Ethics for Financial Planners. Students must complete four compulsory subjects covering behavioural finance, applied financial advice, commercial and corporations law and ethics and professional standards for financial advisers. You will need to attend 12 hours of classes per week either Monday and Wednesday 2.30pm-9.00pm for full time study or 2 evenings per week for part time study 6.00pm-9.00pm (between Monday-Thursday depending on subject).
Fees are calculated at $2,150 per 10 credit point subject. Students must successfully complete 8 subjects to obtain this qualification. TAFE NSW Higher Education tuition fees are subject to change.
