The Bachelor of Creative Practice specialising in visual arts is for specialist creative practitioners who wish to develop strong practical skills in their creative medium. The degree uses a studio-based learning approach which enables students to use a practice-based learning model to hone their practical skills while at the same time developing sound underpinning knowledge, not only in their artistic discipline, but also in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation. The course uses a mix of face-to-face learning in a studio setting and facilitated on-line learning. The Bachelor of Creative Practice specialising in visual arts is a three-year full-time (part-time equivalent) qualification.
This course requires students to complete 24 subjects with full-time students typically enrolling in 4 subjects per semester. Students who have previously completed a relevant Diploma or higher level qualification may be able to fast track their studies and complete the degree in 18 months to two years.
