You will be required to attend 20 hours of class via online learning each week with an optional face to face workshop to be held at the National Environment Centre, Thurgoona. A timetable will be distributed at the time of enrolment.

  • As this is a fully online course you must have your own PC or laptop computer and internet access to access study materials and complete assessments.

  • To support your learning you will be expected to buy subject text books / e-books or access them at the campus library.

  • To be eligible for admission into the Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainable Practice you must have at least ONE of the following entry requirements: 1. NSW HSC (higher school certificate) or equivalent; 2. Recognised tertiary Preparation Certificate; 3. Certificate IV or higher vocational qualification; or 4. completion of at least one-year full time study or equivalent in a degree course at a higher educational institution.

  • Please note you do not require an ATAR for entry into this course. If you do not meet any of the four minimum entry requirements, you may be able to apply for entry under special admissions provisions including mature age or disadvantaged.

      Course delivery Combination study

      Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

      Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.

      National Environment Centre, Thurgoona

      TAFE NSW National Environment Centre (NEC) is a truly unique training facility. It is located just outside Albury on a 180 hectare organically certified working farm. A specialist training centre in civil construction, natural resource management, spatial information (GIS), water operations, permaculture, organic farming, environmentally related studies and sustainable agriculture, the centre is used to provide theory and practical work for students.
