It is recommended that work placement be completed in blocks of 2 weeks following the rostered times of the workplace. Work placement is mandatory but the times and days may be negotiated.
This course is an entry level qualification for those who wish to work in the acute care environment. The course includes face to face training over 6 months and 80 hours of workplace experience to complete additional experience and demonstration of the skills learned throughout the course.
