Employment of enrolled nurses in New South Wales is forecast to increase by around 13.5% between now and 2025. Currently, employers are struggling to find enrolled nurses as our ageing population is driving the demand for health care services and professionals.

When you study with TAFE NSW, we want you to succeed. Entry requirements allow us to make sure that you have the right pre-existing knowledge and skills to achieve your chosen qualification. You will need to provide evidence that you meet the requirements listed in this section.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are 3 steps to apply for entry to this course:

  1. Submit an application form. Enquire now to receive your form.
  2. Participate in a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment. To continue to the next stage, you need to achieve an English language result of Level 3 or above.
  3. Attend a face-to-face interview. At your interview you will need to provide evidence that you have satisfactorily completed:
  • Year 12 of high school or a Certificate III qualification or an equivalent

In addition to the TAFE LLN requirement above, you will also need to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)'s English language requirements.

NMBA English language requirements
